Connecting Humankind Bottom-up to the Cloud

Every day we flush down the toilet valuable medical and physiological information that can save our lives. For example: early detection of colorectal cancer, warning upon oncoming onset of Crohn`s disease and colitis, aged dehydration, urinary tract infections and more. Currently those, can only be diagnosed by taking samples (urine, feces, blood) and further processing and testing them in the laboratory.

In OutSense we have developed a revolutionary method that will shift the lab to the cloud. We have developed a system that includes a proprietary optical sensor and a control, processing and transmitting elements. Upon user enter to the toilet, our system awakes and execute a cascade of autonomous actions: 1. identifies the user, 2. scans his excretions and 3. uploads the scans directly to the cloud. There, 4. our unique image processing algorithms that we have developed for computer vision, extract the optical signatures of desired biomarkers. 5. The analysis outcome is then transmitted back in-line to user application in his smart phone, or to his care-giver’s digital files (depends on the use-case). By the end of event our system will return to hibernation mode till next toilet visit.

Potential adaptors:

  1. Aging @ Home - (dehydration, urinary tract infections and digestion)
  2. Early detection of colorectal cancer.
  3. Alert patients upon on coming flare-ups of inflammatory bowel disease - Crohn`s and colitis.
Later on, and as a big-data set accumulates, AI could be applied on the set and extract new biomarkers to diagnose additional ills.
