We present a new type of sensor for vital signs monitoring. The primary advantages of the millimeter-wave radar are ability to operate remotely, without electrodes or wires and through any clothing. Since radar carrier wavelength is about 3 mm, we achieve significant noise immunity and accuracy. Thus its not only detector, but a powerful tool for exploring heart and respiration mechanics. Experimental heartbeat measurement data is shown and compared to data from a commercial portable ECG device.
