A wideband antenna having low cross polarization level, based on a cavity slot element with a parasitic structure is proposed. The bandwidth of the antenna is 24%, and the cross polarization level is -50 dB, both in the E-plane and in the H-plane, The average gain of the antenna is 7 dBi.
