Enhanced Turbo Equalizer Using 2 Dimensional Iterative Soft Decision Interference Cancellation (1173)

In this paper we propose an enhanced turbo equalizer scheme based on an improved version of the iterative soft decision interference cancellation (ISDIC) algorithm. First, we introduce an improved ISDIC algorithm based on multiple symbol LMMSE. Then, we combine the novel scheme into the turbo equalization scheme. The performance of the resulting turbo equalizer is better than traditional turbo equalizer, with lower complexity and lower amount of iterations.
