Performance Calculation of Leaky-Wave Antenna Based on Substrate Integrated Waveguide with Transverse Slots (1188)

A leaky-wave antenna based on two-layer substrate integrated waveguide with transverse slots and protective dielectric cover is investigated. A dispersion equation, that allows to find the complex propagation constant in the structure, is obtained. Velocity factor dependencies on the slots position are presented. Velocity factor frequency dependencies for different values of protective cover permittivity are shown. An influence of substrate composition on the antenna characteristics is analyzed.
