The tutorial will start with the background of sampling and quantisation, and proceed to some basic ADC architectures. More advanced architectures, like pipeline and SAR, will be discussed next, as well as the delta-sigma oversampling converter. An emphasis will be given to real-life issues, such as process variations and device mismatch, which are key factors in any ADC design.
