In this work we have investigated the reactivity and catalytic activity of new ruthenium pincer complexes based on modifications of catalytically active complexes previously prepared in our group. Such modifications were performed on the inorganic or the organic part of the complex. It give rise to new types of Ru(0) and Ru(II) pincer complexes, which exhibit a new type of Metal-Ligand Cooperation (MLC), mono oxygen transfer, improvement in catalytic activity, dual MLC in a single complex, unprecedented catalytic hydrogenation of diketopiperazine and a new system for hydrogen storage application.
