It is well know that patient deteriorations is reflected in his vital signs.

Changes in vital signs are known to precede changes in a patient condition[1][2].

A sensor that is located under the mattress and collects accurately vital signs such as heart rate, respiratory rate, and other mechanical characteristics (e.g. motion level, changes in the amplitudes of heart beats and chest wall motion) without touching the patient body allows to continuously monitor patients` condition and Identify deteriorations. The method allows to build a baseline as a reference point and to analyze changes in patients` trends. An essential part of the system includes IT infrastructure to support transferring the information make it available in the right time and the right place notifying these changes. Results shows dramatic reduction on code blue events[3], hospital length of stay, as well as many documented saves.
