At present disabled athletes’ medical security mechanism in China is not sound.The phenomenon seriously affects the healthy development of China`s sports .

Literature, expert interview, questionnaire.

Results

1.At present China`s disabled athletes’ medical security is not optimistic.

2.Main disadvantage factors affecting China`s disabled athletes’ medical security are imperfect legislation system, unhealthy supervision and management mechanism,heavily deficient funds, unhealthy medical insurance market mechanism.

2.1 Imperfect legislation system: less law about disabled athletes’ medical security, the low level of legislation and defective execution.

2.2 Unhealthy supervision and management mechanism: decentralized management system,deficient supervision mechanism.

2.3 Heavily deficient funds: single funds source, non-standard fund-raising ways and operation mechanism.

2.4 Unhealthy medical insurance market mechanism: lacking complete medical insurance, and commercial insurance lacks of unified evaluation criteria.

Conclusions

1.China should attach great importance to the disabled athletes’ medical security .

2.Strategies to optimize disabled athletes’ medical security mechanism: perfect medical security legislation system, perfect medical security supervision and management mechanism, increase funds input for medical security, and perfect medical insurance market mechanism.

2.1 Perfect medical security legislation system: perfect the legal system construction, improve the efficiency of the medical security legislation and law enforcement.

2.2 Perfect medical security supervision and management mechanism: insist on the separation of politics, strengthen supervision.

2.3 Increase funds input for medical security: establish the channels of sound medical insurance guarantee fund sources.

2.4 Perfect medical insurance market mechanism:strengthen disabled athletes’ commercial insurance, increase funding compensation for disabled athletes.
