The measurements were performed by a high temperature sessile drop method. The silhouettes of molten salt droplets resting on a solid carbon surface were recorded by a digital camera. The contact angles were determined by special software using the recorded silhouettes.
The examinations were performed on graphite and glassy carbon plates. CsCl-RbCl mixtures were studied. One of our goals was to study the concentration dependence of the contact angle in the CsCl-RbCl / carbon system. We modelled the concentration dependence of wettability in this system.
