Rabbinic Community and Culture in Perpignan

Many studies have been devoted to individual rabbinic scholars from medieval Perpignan, chief among them Menahem ha-Meiri. But few attempts have been made to consider the rabbinic community as a whole, or to characterize its relationship with scholarly groups in nearby regions. This paper will propose such a contextualization, in light of rabbinic writings from, to and about the community.
