70 years after the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls we understand better the impact of these scrolls on the exegesis of the Hebrew Bible. Textual criticism has been completely changed in the wake of the rich material found in the many scrolls in the Judean Desert. Issues to be analyzed: textual variety of the Judean Desert scrolls; improved reconstruction of the Hebrew parent text of the Septuagint; variety of spelling practices of Biblical manuscripts; Biblical Hebrew; text of the Phylacteries; literary differences between texts; transmission differences between texts.
