Music right place in education is to be the base of varied domains in education – not entertainment! The main reason is Natural children development. Newborn babies recognize mother voice timbre, are afraid of foreign and harsh voices, and listen to soft ones. At age of 3-4 months, babies enjoy hearing tunes’ pitch changing, and respond with motor movements according to rhythms. Thus, timbre, volume, pitch and rhythm, precede babies’ consonants and vowels mimic, at six months.
Children absorb mother tongue aurally by hearing. Thus natural way to begin reading is according to natural development order. Three studies with Sounds2Read innovated music notation easy method (former Toy- Musical -Notes) showed excellent significant achievements in reading measures compared to control groups. The first music innovative easiest reading method was developed for kindergarten children integrated computer musical games.
The studies’ results encouraged more steps, adding music to ease: * first learning mathematics; * develop attention concentration, the base of longer time range attention, intensive concentration of simultaneously elements. * developing cognitive analyzing music structures of sounds architecture of time. Children who develop these abilities and grasp music structures by hearing sounds, are able to analyze easier written structures also in other senses: seen, touched, etc.
Developing domains via Sounds2Read method encourage assisting also senior people to keep flexible alert minds, from elders falling into Dementia and Alzheimer diseases. Today computer instruction of musical games, enable achievements as the sky is not a limit. Using music simplest base to instruct children brings new higher levels.
Our method and ideas are based on huge number of studies about music contribution to education and life. Three research studies show the feasibility of evidences. It’s time to be alert of all aids we have today, for using music as the base of cognitive knowledge, sensory and emotions.
