Contemporary Hinduism: Idolatry or Monotheism?

Based on both ancient traditional Hindu sacred sources and compared with Jewish Halachich understanding as to the nature of idolatry as found in Talmudic medieaval and modern sources, we suggest that contemporary Hinduism is not idolatrous but can be classed among the monotheistic religions.
