Reading and Writing Cuneiform in the Western Periphery: A Comparative Look at the Scribal Schools of Anatolia, Syria and Canaan

My talk will address the question of Cuneiform education and literacy in Anatolia, Syria and Canaan during the Bronze Age.

I will examine the schooling materials and scribal school institutions at these places from a comparative point of view.
