Bushkida is a documentary film about Judeo-Spanish, also called Ladino. We wanted to know who still speaks the language and which institutions still care for it. Does Ladino have a future? This question was the leitmotif of the talks with specialists, professors and heads of institutions who provided information on the situation of Ladino today. A highlight of the film is a visit to a Sephardic celebration in a retirement home, where we encountered people, for whom Ladino is a mother tongue.
