The so-called Girona Genizah is the most well-known collection of re-used Hebrew medieval manuscripts fragments in Catalonia, but this phenomenon also occurs in others cities and archives of this country, and offers us other documentation for the history of Jewish knowledge that in some cases remains totally unknown and unpublished. The aim of this paper is to compare and analyze the different typologies, nature, characteristics and others aspects of all this documentation that were reused as bindings and covers for 14th and 15th centuries books and show the hypothetical causes of this recycling.
