Recent cross-linguistic studies have indicated that intervention related to developmental speech disorders is only effective if it targets specific sub-types and claimed deficits in the speech processing chain. This presentation provides an overview of the skills that need to be assessed for accurate diagnosis and effective intervention of speech difficulties.
