The purpose of this paper is to provide an onomastic description of the Hebrew loanwords presents into Latin in the translation of Sanhedrin. This translation forms part of the Talmudic corpus known as Extractiones de Talmud, held in Paris during the years 1244-1245. An onomastic approximation to the treaty of the Sanhedrin of the Extractiones will give us information about the transcription criteria used by the Latin translators of the Talmud, and, in turn, supply us with information about the underlying Hebrew in the transcription. It will also aid us to reconstruct the possible Hebrew manuscript sources used for the Latin translation of the Talmud.
