Response

Michael Silber will provide a response to our panel, which is a survey of the outlines for a new history of Jews in Bohemian Crown Lands (Bohemia, Moravia, at times Silesia and parts of Upper Lusitania, more or less the present-day Czech Republic). Dr. Silber is an expert on neighboring Hungarian Jewry, and on the Jews of Habsburg Lands--into which the Bohemian Lands were incorporated for a large part of their history. As such, Dr. Silber is perfectly positioned to offer us an "outside" view of the content of our panel, while at the same time posessing the detailed expertise to make that view valuable for us and interesting for our audience.
