In interwar Romania, the politics of education is subordinated to the purpose of consolidating the Romanian nation. The youth becomes an important element in transforming a multi-ethnic state in a unitary entity. Thus, school politics will have a great impact on the school population pertaining to ethnic minorities. The present paper analyzes the place of the Jewish youth within the Romanian educational system. The research will also focus on the anti-Semitism proliferated among the high school youth, with a case study on several high schools from Moldavia, marked by violent incidents in the interwar decades.
