Present-day Israel boasts multiple Jewish-Moroccan cultural expressions in music, literature, poetry, theater, architecture, and more. My paper focuses on this significant cultural production of Moroccanness in contemporary Israel. Its goals are to describe the current peak of Moroccan cultural revival, to provide a brief history of its development from the early days of immigration to the present, and to explore its sociocultural meanings within the broader contexts of diasporic communities.
