The Romanian Holdings at the CAHJP: An Overview

The Romanian holdings at the Central Archives for the History of the Jewish People in Jerusalem comprise valuable materials regarding history and culture of Romanian Jewry for the last four centuries.

In this paper I plan to present two topics: a) the provenance of these holdings and documenting the actions of rescuing Jewish collections from Romania. The second topic that I would plan to discuss is how much those rescuing actions damaged the preserving of the original order of the Romanian-Jewish collections.
