Recent advances in cardiac imaging allows rapid acquisition of images with improved spatial and temporal resolution. However, each modality has its strengths and weaknesses. The increase in the use of imaging tests for diagnosis of cardiac diseases is exponential and many patients are exposed to multi modality imaging. However, combining images acquired from different modalities in a single screen after sophisticated co-registration may be useful for cardiac diagnosis, especially in patients undergoing interventions for structural heart diseases

The aim of this presentation is to present technological advances and principles of fusion imaging, and its usefulness, especially for interventional cardiac procedures.
