Structural Equation Model for the Utilization of Smartphone Technology for TLC among People with Schizophrenia

Objectives: We aimed to construct and test the structural equation model that analyzed the utilization of smartphone technology for TLC among people with schizophrenia.
Methods: Data were collected by structured self-questionnaires from 549 male and 357 female subjects. The Data were analyzed by SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 21.0.
Results: The model fit for the modified hypothetical model were showed :
Q= 4.23, AGFI=0.96, and CFI=0.96, RMSEA= 0.060 (90% [CI]= 0.045, 0.075), SRMR= 0.04,
In modified model from hypothetical model, the opinions about smartphone use affect the willingness to use smartphone applications. And the willingness to use smartphone applications affect dietary and living habits.
Conclusion: Consequently, it is necessary to adopt smartphone applications for therapeutic lifestyle change, which is available to prevent the metabolic syndrome among people with schizophrenia.
