ADHD in adults is in most cases accompanied by several psychiatric and somatic disorders, like addiction, mood-, sleep-, anxiety, personality-, and autism spectrum disorders. Frequent physical problems are asthma, stress and injury related complaints, obesity and the chronic diseases resulting from it, like diabetes and cardiovascular disease. With a prevalence of psychiatric comorbidity in 75%, and obesity in 30% of adults with ADHD, complex and challenging patients may be more often the rule than the exception.

In this workshop, complex cases of adults with ADHD will be discussed with the group and the discussant, who has more than 20 years of clinical experience with assessment and treatment of adults with ADHD. Subjects may be the diagnostic dilemma`s that arise in clinical practice, and also the order of treatment in case of multiple comorbidities. Participants are invited to bring in their own challenging patients, for inspiration and discussion.
