Language is a uniquely human skill that underpins our social interactions, learning, and access to many leisure activities. Therefore, it is no surprise that talking and listening skills predict children’s academic success and social and emotional well-being. For most children, language learning is effortless however, for some, learning language is not so easy. This session will examine SLI, LLD, and DLD diagnostic categories of language impairment and their clinical implications.
