Scintillator Engineering

Scintillators and Scintillation Detectors are widely used in many applications, like (Nuclear) Medicine, Security, Industry, Physics, Space and GeoPhysical/Oil Exploration.

Saint-Gobain Crystals is a world leader in the production of Scintillators. Apart from day to day production of conventional Scintillators, Saint-Gobain Crystals puts a lot of effort in (re)engineering various types of Scintillators, including NaI(Tl), LYSO, LaBr3, Cs2LiLaBr6 and Plastic Scintillators. Our R&D has led to interesting new products which undoubtedly will find their way into the market.

In the talk the results of our R&D efforts are presented. We will also report on our work on the integration of Silicon Photomultipliers into Scintillators.
