The Case Studies of Marketing of Carrots and Its Implication To Food Security in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, Nigeria

The needs to ensure profitability in marketing of carrots will aid a lot of commercial activities and Improve farming system which will pave away for an effective means of customers consuming system in real life and the important for the populace getting the necessary work and increase farmers profitability system that will pave way for much cultivation of carrots in the Federal Capital Territory. There are urgent needs for different market price of information systems that will give way for buyers, sellers and the policy makers. Understanding the various strategies’ of marketing systems is very important too.

On these notes is this studies was undertaken and various information was gathered during the course of this project. Information that was gathered during field survey, pictures that was taken, oral interviewed and the different focal discussion shows that that some carrots are marketed freshly harvested and there are no processing and adding value to it in which could have contributed to the price increase, thus another case is some carrots are washed and removal of the dirty parts of the carrots which was getting value and reduction of the sizes and the leaf and some of the carrots are display too attract customers. This paper therefore suggest for proper processing, adding value, introduction of technology of packaging for effective means of marketing of carrots systems which is going to contribute to profitability of the producers and sellers.
