The Use of New Medications

This will be an audience participation workshop during which attendees will have the opportunity to pose questions about the use of newer ADHD medications in routine clinical practice. Topics that will arise and be discussed are likely to include: A discussion of the new medications and formulations to become available in recent years; Pharmacology of new ADHD medications; choosing between different medications; the importance of setting up appropriate expectations when starting treatment and switching medications; when to switch and when to increase the dose; when to switch and when to combine; adverse events associated with the new medications; ways to optimize treatment effects.
