The optical properties of molecules deposited on metallic nanostructures can be strongly modified relative to those of free molecules. We show experimentally and theoretically that by structuring metallic film at the nano-scale, one can modify the photophysical and even the chemical properties of molecules which are deposited on such surfaces.
In the same manner, we experimentally show energy transfer processes with other emitters such as Carbon-dots and reveal optically the signature of their small functional groups.
Characterization of our nanostructures by cathodeluminescence and second harmonic generation will be also shown and discussed.
