Multidimensional Nanosensing with On-line Structural Correlation

David Lewis Nanonics Imaging Ltd., Israel

Nanosensing is of considerable interest in biology, chemistry, physics and in many technologically important areas. This lecture will focus on new evolutions in scanned probe microscopy and integration of this technology with hybrid microscopic technologies. These combinations have great potential for developing new directions of combined structural and chemical nanocharacterization. It will be shown that many modalities can be combined on-line simultaneously with the developments that have been made in our laboratories on multiprobe atomic force microscopy. This allows optical, thermal, structural chemical and ultrasensitive mechanical nanosensing to provide a complete picture of device and biological structures. These exciting developments are a result of instrument and probe developments. With such developments new horizons in chemical and structural nanosensing can be achieved and will be highlighted in this talk.
