1D, 2D and 3D Quantum Confined Nano-structures in Semiconductors and their Use in Photonic Devices

The theory of 1D, 2d and 2D quantum confinement will be discussed as in quantum wells, quantum wires and quantum dots. Photonic and electronic devices that are using such quantum mechanics principles will be discussed and analyzed.
