According to estimates, 95 % of the value of plastic packaging material, i.e. between EUR 70 and 105 billion annually, is lost to the economy after a very short first-use cycle and with an estimated that plastics production and the incineration of plastic waste give rise globally to approximately 400 million tones of CO2 a year. At present only 20-30 % plastic waste is recycled and about 2-5% textile waste is used in a virgin material, and there are such waste that cannot be reused, either it is land fill or incinerated which is not a good solution. With a vision of turning challenges into opportunities, a vision for a circular plastics and textile economy.
IsraZion Company brings an innovational green solution to the very critical environmental problem of treating waste materials. With our proprietary technology the waste plastic and textile are converted into valuable carbon products for energy storage application. The carbon that is produced with our technology is tested in Li-ion battery application as an anode material, an active electrode material in supercapacitor battery and as additive in electrodes for lead acid battery. The presentation will discuss the interesting results, how to use these waste to create a valuable materials for battery applications and to complete the life cycle and a sustainable circular economy for these wastes plastic and textile to produce green products.
