Aim: this study was to monitor the quality of life of 6 children before and after dental treatment . The evaluation tool used was the questionnaire entitled Early Childhood

Background: The importance and efforts to reduce the impact on children’s quality of life have been growing due to the developmental disorders caused by oral health problems. These oral disorders, such as caries for example, have a negative impact on the child’s quality of life.

Method: Oral Health Impact Scale (ECOHIS) and the outcome, such as behavioral factors, and a monitoring of the weight at each appointment.

Results: On comparison of the results of the starting and ending ECOHIS questionnaire, there was a significant drop in the impact on the child, falling from 34 to 16 points, demonstrating a significant improvement in the quality of life. As for the impact of the family, this reduction was smaller as there was there was no apparent impact. Improving the child’s health by 50%. At the end of the dental treatment, the child’s weight had increased and she was smiling and playing again. In this clinical case, it may be concluded that children’s oral health has a significant influence on their general health.

Conclusions: The use of ECOHIS in pediatric dental appointments may help to measure the quality of life in children of preschool age.
