This paper presents a multi-dimensional coupling urban flood model for Jianye District of Nanjing City. It consists of two-dimensional (2D) urban surface flow model, one-dimensional (1D) river network routing model, and 1D sewer system model. A catchment in Jianye District of Nanjing City, is used as the study case to validate the model, and the developed model generally preformed acceptably with observed data. Furthermore, the influence of rainfall intensity and water conservancy engineering measures on the urban flood process is analyzed. Results demonstrate that appropriate water conservancy project operation could have significant influence on the alleviating urban flood in Jianye District.
