The introduction of gemdiborylalkane as light-labile substrates is unexplored and has the potential to revolutionize the way organic molecules are constructed. In this regard, we will employ recently developed methods for the synthesis of gemdiborylalkane possisssing potassium trifluoroborane

salts to gain access to a visible light reaction. The knowledge gained will provide us with an in-depth understanding of the reactivity of radical-intermediate of mono-borylalkanes for additional transformations. This will enable us to develop optimized reaction conditions for C–B bond

functionalization reactions in order to construct C–C/ C–heteroatom bonds based on a rationally designed protocol for visible light reactions with different electrophiles, which can lead to a new approach for chiral centre construction.
