Study of hydrological parameters is important to understand the nature of flow of rivers from time to time. This leads to work on preventive measures in water prone or water deficit areas if needed. For Ephemeral River (Ambica) in a region of semi-arid to arid region, it becomes important because such are becoming dry year to year. In this paper, field data collected from three different gauging sites of Ambica River were used to check the variation in suspended sediment transport, decade-wise effective discharge class and effective transport (Total suspended sediment load) . Daily discharge and suspended sediment concentration data for Gadat, Unai and Waghai site were collected from State Water Data centre and Central Water Commission (CWC), Tapi division, Surat. Result shows that Unai have large amount of sediment concentration and high annual suspended sediment transport rate as compared to other two gauging sites. Effective transport has reduced, at Gadat site in last three decades from year (1986-1995), (1996-2005) to (2006-2015), at Unai site in last two decade from year (1996-2005) (2005-2015) and at Waghai site in last decade from year (2006-2015).
