Surgical corrections of cranial vault deformities is the only way to enable normal development of cranial as wellas facial skeleton in patients with cranisynostosisand dysostosis. These are comprised of earlysurgical corrections like floating forehed and frontofacial monoblock advancement and lete procedures involve Le Fort osteotomies and corrections as well as craniotomies for each premature fusion of cranial sutures.
During last 30 years we have operated314 patients with craniofacial deformities. They were syndromic and non syndromic craniosynostosis. Postraumatic craniofacial deformities were not includedin this serie. Complications were as: in 49 cases after primary surgery and in 52 cases in secondary intervention.
