Results: The LBW incidence in GCGMH is 4.5%. Enrolment rate to the KMC program was 98.8%. Early deaths were the sole reason for non-enrolment. 52.49% were discharged in ≤7 days. 60.33% had discharge weights of 1501-2000 grams. 53.91% gained ≥45 g/kg birthweight. 94.06% were discharged improved. 20 infants were discharged against advice, most frequently due to longer hospital stay. Five died from sepsis. Follow-up in 2016 was higher and 3 infants were seen at 12 months. Two infants weighed >3500 grams, and 1 infant weighed 3000-3499 grams.

Majority were discharged improved within 7 days, had discharge weights between 1501-2000 grams, and weight gain of ≥45 g/kg birthweight. Deaths were from sepsis. Longer hospital stay was the most common reason for DAMA. There was a higher follow-up rate on the second year of implementation of the KMC program, with 3 infants completing the 1-year follow-up. These 3 infants had weights >3000 grams at 1 year of age.
