Objective: world’s elderly population is growing dramatically and life expectancy is rising. Aside from the ethical issues, these facts raises new dilemmas regarding surgical treatment in very old patients. Does the patient’s age is a factor in the decision making of surgical treatment?
Method: the lecture will preset few cases where large surgical intervention was needed (Oncology, BRONJ) in patients older than 90 years old; Will review the current relevant literature and promote open discussion with the audience.
