Objectives: The use of bone blocks allografts(cancellous or corticocancellous) in pre-implant surgery is a reliable and interesting alternative to autogenous bone grafts.
(documented for more than 10 years ). This technique reduces the morbidity and the time of surgery
It requires a precise adaptation of the block to the recipient site, particularly in the mandible; the slightest exposure results almost systematically in the complete loss of the graft.
Methods and results: Since 2014, we use allografts blocks creative with CAD-CAM rocedure, based on CT simulation We analyze a serie of 37 grafts( by a single operator)
Mandible 21 cases
Maxilla 16 cases
cancellous bone graft 12 cases
corticocancellous bone graft 25 cases
failure 4 cases
Conclusions: The perfect adaptation of the graft by this new procedure has significantly reduced the failure rate (even in case of secondary exposure)
