In the poster we would like to stress that the governing agent of space weather is in fact the solar activity. A long history of solar physics studies in the Czech Republic offers a lot of experience and knowledge. Our Solar Dpt. consists of 30 scientists and the team already gained a high international reputation when starting by simple optical observations and later by radio observations during the fifties and sixties. Since the early seventies it became clear that substantial discoveries might be received from satellite observations mainly. That’s why we “moved” into space and we accepted a Russian offer and during the seventies and eighties participated in Russian space research in frame of the Intercosmos program. Since that time until now we have been focusing our observational space activities on solar hard X-ray emission, the data, which are very important for solar flare studies as well as for space weather and Earth security studies. In parallel we have been accepting a computer era and many of our scientists nowadays besides data analysis do mathematical modeling of solar processes. In March 2000, our Hard X-Ray Spectrometer (HXRS) was launched onboard the US-MTI satellite. Since 2008 our Republic became the ESA member and we participate in the Solar Orbiter project as well as in the technological PROBA-3 project. Our goal would be to participate in a dedicated solar observation from onboard a micro-satellite. The main purpose of the poster is to show our activities and to look for new possibilities and collaboration.
