This image shows a circular organization of rough endoplasmic reticulum (ER) sheets decorated by ribosomes in hormone-secretory cell of the zebrafish pituitary gland. The image was taken with transmission electron microscope, following chemical fixation of the whole pituitary gland dissected from adult fish.
