LEADING THE WAY

This image shows multiple filopodia of the endothelial tip cell during angiogenesis. Usually the tip cell would lead the way for the newly growing blood capillary. The image was taken with confocal microscope of the chemically fixed transgenic zebrafish 5 days old larvae, in which the actin filaments of endothelial cells are specifically labelled.
