UV – LWIR options for CubeSats

While many options are available in the VIS/NIR and even SWIR wavelength regions. Providing robust solutions in the UV, MWIR and LWIR regions can often prove more challenging. Materion Precision Optics (formerly Barr Associates) has been a world leader for over 40+ years in providing optical components for space use. In addition to discrete filters our Multispectral Array technology provides capabilities across all wavelength regions. From MODIS to VIIRS and many in between we’ve supplied 100’s MS arrays in the MW/LW region. As Cubesats continue to increase capabilities and functionality the need for small, high performance optical components beyond the VIS/NIR continues to expand. Whether it’s multi-band arrays to reduce size or dichroic beamsplitters that range from the VIS through LWIR Materion can offer superior technology, heritage and capabilities. This poster intends to summarize those capabilities and present our willingness to collaborate and partner within the CubeSat community.
