Flood Prevention System and Flood Management in China

The frequency and magnitude of flood disasters are increasing in China, and the ecomoic loss caused by flood disasters are enormous and are significant obstacles to eradicating poverty and achieving sustainable socioeconomic development. This paper introduces the structural and non-structural measure of the flood prevention system and flood management practice in China. Relevant issues are analyzed and discussed, and measures for improving the flood prevention system and flood management are summarized.
