Small Ultraviolet Payloads for Astronomy

Rekhesh Mohan Jayant Murthy

Although ultraviolet astronomy was the first major astronomy program from space, there are still many problems that are available to small satellites, for the same reasons as the earlier payloads. The sky is dark in the ultraviolet with few competing sources and we can reach down to the darkest regions of the sky with small payloads. I will describe our program at IIA in building small payloads whcih are intended for space flight. I will also describe our spectrograph which was selected for flight on the Chinese Space Station.
