In the present study, the flow and mixing properties of vertical buoyant jets discharged from multiport diffusers are studied numerically. The performances of four different turbulence models are investigated: including the standard k-ε, RNG k-ε turbulence model, k-ω turbulence model, and the k-ω SST turbulence models. The comparisons between the simulated and experimental results demonstrate that the RNG k-ε turbulence model can provide the most accurate predictions. The RNG k-ε model is utilized to carry out additional simulations with different values of port spacing, and the effects of the port spacing is investigated.
