eyeLand: A smart ophthalmology platform

1. Problem or Opportunity: Treatment non-adherence is a world epidemic. It leads to 10% of hospitalizations and costs $8.9B in the US alone. It has been proven that for every 1% of increase in prescription drug use, medical insurance expanses decreased at 0.17% for adults. Patient`s adherence is multi-factorial (depends on the patient, therapy, social state and healthcare system) meaning the solution must be comprehensive.

2. Product or Service Concept: eyeLand maximizes medical adherence by providing a unified platform for patients that enables them to manage their disease(s) with minimum effort.

3. Medical Significance: Contemporary medical systems are disjoined and separated. This leads to substantial diagnostic gaps, and finally to sub-optimal medical adherence. eyeLand maximizes medical adherence using patient-generated data and advanced AI algorithms to allow the patients to gather data from the entire disease management cycle in an effortless manner, into a single unified platform which may then be conveyed to the physician, revolutionizing the treatment outcomes and effectiveness, eventually improving the patients’ quality of life.

4. Target Markets: At this stage we aim to target patients who suffer from any eye disease or are prone to develop one which constitute 9% of the world population. the next stage will be to collaborate with healthcare providers as the payers - these are institutions that pay for healthcare services, including insurance carriers, private employers, and individuals.
